A tip from Penny, creator of this artwork: "I fell in love with the emotion of this picture, and the subject I saw. Always paint what you love, and don't worry if it's going to be okay, just have fun with it. You never know, it might end up being that masterpiece."

You can also add pigment powders for an interesting effect. I have joined Facebook and Pinterest groups for inspiration and feedback on my projects".

If you decide that you don't like a specific area, you can then re-pour over just that area, to create a new design without messing up the rest of the artwork".

A pre-printed canvas has a completed image outline on the canvas for you to follow, and includes a suggested colour combination.

A paint by numbers artwork, contains a pre-printed image, with numbers for the sections and corresponding numbered paint pots.
A tip from Julie, the creator of this artwork " I chose this because I'm still learning brush strokes. I do one colour and move on and paint in sections. With lighter colours, I do a second coat over the number to cover it."

You can use a hair dryer to help dry it, then when dry, build the colour in layers to get the depth of colour you're looking for".
A junk journal takes it's inspiration from the scrapbook, combining art elements with recycled crafts to create a theme in a journal.
Tip from Danielle, creator of this artwork "Pick a theme as a colour, and use that as a way of expressing yourself, using the items you have on hand. If you stick to one colour for your theme, it won't get so overwhelming, so start there."
